In the study, Bolat and Bolat's organizational citizenship scale in the form of the Five Factor Likert scale was employed after it was adapted to education. This had also been used in their earlier study dealing with the relationship between organizational commitment and organizational citizenship in hotel managements (2008). Some of the results obtained from the research are as follows: Altruism, Courtesy, Conscientiousness, Gentlemanship and Civic Virtue have a positive effect on organizational citizenship behavior. Another result of the study is that the gender and the subject branch have a negative effect on organizational citizenship behavior.
