Summary/Abstract: The role of agrarian sector in economic development and modernisation as a whole was important in both political-economic periods of Yugoslavia, however, economic development was never conditional on the agrarian sector. The agrarian sector was in the first place the means of development and because of that it also had to undergo certain changes.
