Summary/Abstract: This article describes the Polish involvement in the Bulgarian Church Movement during the 19th century. In the 1840s, the Polish organization of Jerzy Adam Czartoryski, Hôtel Lambert, began to cooperate with Bulgarian leaders: Neofit Bozveli and Ilarion Makariopolski. At the turn of the 1850s and 1860s, an agent of Hôtel Lambert, Władysław Jordan, was one of the architects of the Union with the Catholic Church. The Polish people also took part in the efforts to rescue the declining Union in the 1860s.
