Summary/Abstract: In the paper, the author draws attention to the most important historiographic works dealing with the socialist period in the history of Bosnia Herzegovina, which were written between 1991 and 2003, both during the war and, afterwards, in peace time. The small number of such works indicates an insufficient coverage of this particular historical period. Unfortunately, this trend continues. An impoverished and divided society in Bosnia Herzegovina does not allow normal conditions for work, with regards to financing institutions, archive research and advanced study.
