Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to analyze a group of indeclinable adjectives, for example Czech words such as: antisexy, cache, gay, crimes, ethno, retro, top, etc. The analysis of the lexical and grammatical properties of the examined units (mainly of English origin) questions their belonging to the adjective group in the vein of other studies. It takes the view that the units surveyed fulfill the function of attributes in the composita.
