Summary/Abstract: In the paper, the authors deals with some aspects of the overlapping of economy and nationalism in the former Yugoslav state. He finds that, in different periods and circumstances, the multi-ethnic character of the Yugoslav state displayed similar effects, i.e. a strong nationalist(ic) charge, also in economic affairs.
