Summary/Abstract: In the past, the history of science and art of the West, the east at the time they want to be set up and where there are places that are set up in some places you will stand out with the cinema products. Cinema, one of the most important art and communication tools serving sunrise, has an ideologically very important function in the nature of East-West perception, which is intended to be shaped by messages conveyed in large audience communities. In this research titled “Orientalist and Occidentalist Discourse in Cinema: A Sample of Head-On”, theories of orientalism and occidentalism have been studied in detail and their meanings that have changed in historical process have been emphasized. By discussing the relationship between these two theories, it has been examined how these theories have been produced as a discourse through cinema. In the light of the findings obtained through the literature review and by the critical discourse analysis method, film that is the sample of the research has been taken up in terms of orientalist and occidentalist discourses.
