Summary/Abstract: The article presents a brief overview of the formation of management education in Russian universities. Features of training managers in modern Russian universities are analyzed. The characteristic is given to federal state educational standards on state and municipal management. The situation in this area is characterized by the example of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
