Summary/Abstract: The finding of bronze war hammer stored at the Ulyanovsk Regional Museum of local lore is published for the first time in the paper. The war hammer was found in 2016 in a batch of sand and gravel mixture received from the cis-Kama region. This war hammer is characterized by the presence of a sculptural decorated head with stylized figures of carnivorous animals. There is a relief image of a lying predator on the socket of hammer. Zoomorphic images on the socket and head of the war-axes are considered by the authors as not characteristic for war hammers of the Ananyino cultural and historical area. According to the composition and iconography of images, the artifact can be attributed to the Scythian-Siberian beast style and may be associated with the Asian part of this area. The war hammer is dated by the authors within the interval from the second quarter of 7th century to beginning of 6th century BC or more concretely — within the boundaries of the second half — last quarter of 7th century BC.
