Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to sui generis tropology of memory of the Shoah that can be discovered in Piotr Sommer’s poetry. In the works by the author of Pamiątki po nas, such memory is coded by means of discrete literary devices, but it seems to be an important source of experience written down in the texts. The author endeavours to construct a dynamic, internally varied model of the Sommerian “memorial poem”; her arguments are supported with notions taken from the theories of memory and its representation influential in contemporary humanities.
