Summary/Abstract: The article concerns dysarthric disorders in a 6-year-old patient with cerebral palsy (CP) and a congenital malformation syndrome. The author discusses some theoretical issues related to the aetiology, classification and general characteristics of CP, with particular reference to speech disorders. Then, the procedures of dysarthria diagnosis and the evaluation of the child’s language competence using selected research tools are described. In the last section, the author presents a therapy proposal.
