Summary/Abstract: The main objective of this paper is to explore and describe the implications of the relational and meaning-making nature of music, the anthropology of music and sound, the ethical responsibilities of the human relationships created through improvised performance, and the idealization of musical experience. The paper generates insights about the role of body in sung performance, the organization of intersubjectivity during rehearsal and performance, rhythmic entrainment in the physical coproduction of sound, aspects of relationships created in music making, and the polythetic constitution of the musical piece.
