Summary/Abstract: RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: The aim of the article is to present the financial possibilities of the European Union regarding the promotion of entrepreneurship in education. The article will describe the funds, programs and initiatives to support entrepreneurial attitudes in the 2014-2020 programming period. THE RESEARCH PROBLEM AND METHODS: An analysis of financial statistical data as well as a query and analysis of legal acts and reports of the European Union institutions will be used as a research method. THE PROCESS OF ARGUMENTATION: The article begins by explaining the concept of entrepreneurship in education, which was adopted for the purposes of this study. The further parts of the study focus on the determination of cooperation between EU Member States in the area of education, presentations of individual countries’ expenditure on education, and then focus on EU funding proposals. The whole argument consists in explaining the role of the European Union strategy in strengthening entrepreneurial attitudes in education that complements national activities. RESEARCH RESULTS: The carried out studies show that Member States and regions remain largely responsible for educational processes, but in line with the principle of subsidiarity, the European Union as a whole should play a greater role in the future to support and coordinate national activities. CONCLUSIONS, INNOVATIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS: Analysis of progress in the implementation of the Europe 2020 Strategy shows that the implementation of the assumed goals requires the introduction of new solutions and tools or more spending within existing funds at the EU level.
