Summary/Abstract: The thousands of decorations and honours awarded to the soldiers of the Bulgarian army, and in this number – the hundreds given to the 26th Pernik regiment of the First Wolrd War – testify to the willingness of the Bulgarians to complete the national unification of their fatherland within the ethnical borders of the Bulgarian people.
