Summary/Abstract: During A.D. 11th and 12th century, about 200 years’ time at the prevailing Anatolian Seljuk Civilization, Turkey/Konya was the capital. Today, there are numerous works of Seljuk period in the city centre of Konya. During the construction of multi-storey parking lot in a location known as Zindankale in the city centre in 2007, the Seljuk era fortress walls were found. Having found the walls, the construction of the parking lot was interrupted and the Art Gallery Project was prepared for the exhibition of the walls by the local architectural office in Konya. In the gallery consisting of the ground floor and basement floors, there are temporary and permanent exhibition areas and panoramic picture, which explains the daily life of the Seljuk period. It is planned to be re-opened in 2018. Within the scope of the study, Zindankale Art Gallery in Turkey/Konya and Greece/Athens Acropolis Museum, which shows similarities with the design conditions, will be discussed comparatively. The similarities and the different aspects of the both structures will be thoroughly examined. In consequence of the work, the processes of planning and implementation of structures with historical and cultural values are qualified enough to guide the designers and researchers.
