SCIENTIFIC APPROACH UNDER THE FORMATION OF A JOURNALIST AS A PROFESSIONAL: COMPETENCE APPROACH

Summary/Abstract: An analysis of the available literature on the problems of competence approach in education it can be concluded that the competence-based approach, as a leading approach in the training of journalists, focuses on the formation of the perceived needs of the student in the scientific understanding of the professional reality.It ensures the unity of theoretical and practical readiness ofa journalist to implement professionally oriented activities;prepares a journalist for creative problem solving and self-realization of his personality, but at the same time, a major difficulty is to determine the most so-called "core competencies", which should be formed by a specialist, such as a journalist. It seems possible to identify these competencies, if one consider the functions that a modern journalist do in the course of his professional activities.
