Summary/Abstract: Introduction: The single dose SRS is a relatively rare method in treatment of choroidal melanoma. Image fusion of a contrast - enhanced MRI and CT is used for treatment planning coordinates. This treatment is used in a way of single dose SRS with one fraction of 35.0 Gy administered with a spatial accuracy using a collimating system. The team of specialists consists of an ophthalmologist, neurosurgeon, medical physicist and radiation oncologist. All of them are responsible for SRS planning scheme of irradiation. Image fusion of a contrast – enhanced MRI and CT images is used for treatment planning coordinates. Fusion of the images from both imaging techniques is suitable for accurate specifying of anatomical structures and differentiation of gross tumor volume. (Dieckmann et al., 2006; Furdova et al., 2017). Methods and Material: Retrospective study in group of 170 patients with uveal melanoma after single dose stereotactic radiosurgery in Slovakia. Results: In 170 patients group (149 choroidal melanoma, 21 ciliary body melanoma) age of patients ranged from 20 to 92 years with the median 59 years. The number of male was 81 (47.7%) and number of female 89 (52.3%). The median tumor volume at baseline was 0.5 cm3 (with range from 0.2 to 1.6 cm3). The therapeutic dose was 35.0 Gy by 99% of dose volume histogram. In 22 patients (12.9%) secondary enucleation was necessary due to complications (secondary glaucoma). Enucleation free interval ranged from one to six years.
