Summary/Abstract: The lexical items analyzed by lexical semantics, which is the sub-field of semantics, and dealing with their derived and compound forms from the point of meaning play an active role in teaching Turkish as a foreign language. In our study, it is revealed that the lexical semantics should be used in teaching Turkish to the student in Turkic Republics. Because the basic meaning, connotation, sentimental value, homonymy, synonymy, antonymy and various metonymies of a word are among the aspects that should be considered in language teaching. Turkish and Kyrgyz languages, which are the members of the same language family, have common and separate loanwords from foreign languages. A diachronic and synchronic study is required in the comparison of common and separate words adopted from Arabic by Turkish and Kyrgyz languages in terms of lexical semantics from the point of sentence semantics. In this study, it is aimed to determine the Arabic words used in common and separate meanings by considering Arabic words used by 49 Kyrgyz/Kyrgyzstan citizen students who are learning Turkish in Elementary Level (A2) in their written expression exam papers. This study also includes the points to take into account in learning and teaching Turkish language.
