Summary/Abstract: There are many factors, that affect women’s participation in the workforce. These factors are education, marital status and widely accepted societal gender roles, The focus of this study the education, maybe the most important one of all. The schooling ratio for women and girls has been increasing and approaching the target level over the years. Nevertheless, as the results of the study show, this increase has not been reflected on public’s perception of women and participation in workforce. Based on the results of the study, as women’s level of education increases, their employability and status at the office also increases. However, neither women’s schooling ratio, nor participation in the workforce can approach those of men. With that said, the work done in recent years to improve women’s social status and government policies, the future outlook is positive.
