Summary/Abstract: From a perspective of improving our knowledge of the collective approach to learning as a factor of success, this study focuses on the effect of collaborative work on self and collective efficacy. A semi-controlled experiment was conducted with thirteen trinomials of undergraduate students in the computer sciences field to collaboratively carry out a remote review exercise. They used a collaborative platform dedicated to learn Shell language and interacted by chat to solve the problem. Self and collective efficacy were measured before and after the experiment. The results show a correlation between the increase of the perceived collective efficacy and the number of chat interactions between group members and the use of a functionality in the collaborative platform.
