THE SUCCESSFUL DISCOURSE - FAILED ACTION OF THE OSCE MINSK GROUP’S IN THE CONTEXT OF MEDIATION DIPLOMACY: DISCOURSE ANALYSIS OF STATEMENT BETWEEN 2-5 APRIL 2016 RELATED TO THE NAGORNO-KARABAKH CONFLICT

Summary/Abstract: The increasing importance of communication in parallel with the developments in communication technologies in the solution of local, regional and global problems that emerged with the new world order has turned the attention to the diplomacy which is the language of international politics. Diplomacy that has become the main reference tool for the solution of the problems facing the global community, has led to the competition of political discourses instead of expansion and diversification in terms of international relations, depending on the diversity of the problems taking place in the international arena. This was accompanied by the emergence of another problem: in the solution of problems, diplomatic negotiations could not pass from “discourse” to “action”. While the discourses were diversifying, a concrete step was not taken to resolve the issue as in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
