Summary/Abstract: Crisis communication in museums is not much more comprehensive in museums in the Czech Republic. Foreign experience shows that the need for risk management in the museum sector also requires the development of museum crisis communication plans. The crises that need to be communicated have a heterogeneous nature and come suddenly with varying degrees of intensity. It is essential for the museum to be ready for crisis communication inside and outside the organization. The paper presents potential crisis situations in museums. The study also maps the state of the crisis plan and the use of crisis communication in the Czech museums.
