Summary/Abstract: This route, some 11 km long, from Velky Bor to the already legendary border stone number 16 passes by the peak of Polednik (1315 m a.s.l.) in the Sumava Mountains. The scout and fighter against the totalitarian system Frantisek Zahradka made two successful attempts on this route in the summer 1949, guiding eight people out of the country. During the first attempt, circumstances made him go to Bavaria where he established contact with the American CIC service (Counter Intelligence Corps), with which he began to cooperate.
