Summary/Abstract: Based on the data consulted during the study, after the suppression of autonomy, March 28, 1989, a serious state of affairs was created in Kosovo. Serbia, through its state security organs during these years (1989-1999), and especially during the liberation war in Kosovo (1998-1999), has committed serious crimes against the Albanian people. Regardless of Serbian pressure and terror, Albanians were firmly determined to continue their path to freedom and democracy. Under these circumstances, for almost a decade, the Albanian people had a peaceful political determination in terms of political organization that was supposed to be based on the assistance and support of international friends, the United States of America and the European Union, would fulfill their aspirations and rights. The failure of peaceful politics against the Serbian regime genocide compelled Kosovo Albanian people to change the course of action: from the peaceful one to that of the struggle for survival. The Albanian people fought for freedom, democracy and independence before such an exterminating condition of the Serbian regime under the leadership of the Kosovo Liberation Army. The upright struggle of the Albanian people found international progressive, political and military support. The liberation war is a century-old coronation of the efforts of the people of Kosovo for freedom. It ended the maltreatment, rape, imprisonment, murder. It ended the genocide over the Albanian people in Kosovo and the presence of Serb police and military forces. The victory of the Kosovo Liberation Army is a coronation that came after battles throughout Kosovo, and above all after international, diplomatic and military support, following a North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) bombing campaign, March 24 until 9 June 1999, on Milosevic's regime targets. Also, the Kosovo Liberation Army's war finally opened the possibility of resolving Kosovo's political and legal status. The data from this study are a proof of the Serbian regime's genocide over the Albanian people, a very horrifying period (1989-1999) that the Albanian people of Kosovo suffered from the invading regime of Serbia.
