Summary/Abstract: This article focuses on cultural tourism manifestations in the modern city weddings. On the basis of fieldwork material, the paper analyses the typology of cultural tourism in the modern city weddings and the influence of globalisation on the modern Lithuanian weddings. The main source of this article is the fieldwork material, collected by the author in 2006–2017, as well as daily newspapers, wedding booklets, and wedding organizers’ websites. The article looks into the question of what the factors that promote cultural tourism in modern city’s wedding are. There is a hypothesis that cultural and religious tourism promotes public secularization and the desire to experience „authentic“ experiences. The study has revealed that various types of cultural tourism ranging from education, heritage sites, performing art, rural environment, religious sites, contemporary pop culture, culinary, industry, to health and SPA visits prevail in modern city weddings. The manifestation of cultural tourism in urban weddings is an important tool for gaining new knowledge and authentic experiences, learning about the country’s cultural, religious, historical heritage and identity.
