Summary/Abstract: The main motivation of immigrants / diaspora for vacation is to maintain ties with their homeland, family and friends, as well as compensation for the "as at home" feeling that they are missing throughout the year. The summer season, among other things, is the season when many people plan to go to the seaside. So, in the case of Albanian diaspora of Kosova, although summer is the time to make a visit to the homeland, this time is being used even more for the seaside. To understand this experience of immigrants, some issues were elaborated in this paper, such as: How and when is fulfilled the feeling of being "as at home" during the holidays in the country? What significance has the seaside holiday for immigrants? How and when the coast is experienced as the culmination of the feeling "as at home”, even though as a location is a "away from home”?
