Summary/Abstract: In the introductory part it has been dealt with the formation of the Council for Mutual Economic Assistance. It has been dealt also with some factors which were of decisive importance for the formation of this first international organization of socialist countries. Many circumstances of foreign policy as well as the development of the relations of socialist countries in the countries themselves, all these factors acted to create an organized body for economic cooperation.
