Summary/Abstract: Historical Archive of Sarajevo in 2018 celebrated the 70th anniversary of existence and work with a series of events, putting emphasis on the publishing and exhibition activity, which is best recognized and perceived by the public. In addition to the Ceremonial Academy, held on 3 May 2018 in the Gazi Husrev-beg Library, in the jubilee year, the Archives set up six exhibitions created by the Archive and one guest exhibition. Also, the Archive issued two publications. The employees of the Archives, both current and retired, who unselfishly invested their efforts during the war in Sarajevo and preserved their archives, were honored and acknowledged. In the seven decades of existence and work, the Archives justified the purpose of its existence and practically demonstrated that it successfully performs its task - it collects and records, takes over, preserves, arranges, expertly and scientifically processes, publishes and gives archival material the use, as is prescribed by the Law on Archives of Canton Sarajevo.
