Summary/Abstract: Đoko Slijepčević (1908–1993) was a historian of the church. He joined the Southeast Europe Institute (Südosteuropa Institute) in Munich. His two-decades work in this institution has not been a subject of study by Serbian historians, researchers of ecclesiastical history in Serbia, nor was it a topic of work in the Federal Republic of Germany. The aim of this paper is to shed light on Slijepčević’s work at the Southeast Europe Institute. The paper will show the results of research at the Bavarian State Archives and the Bavarian State Library, concerning the role, engagement and activity of Prof. Slijepčević at the Institute.
