The Order of the Sacraments of Christian Initiation in the Latin Church

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this reflection is to offer preliminary, concise information on the administration of the sacraments of inititation to children in its historical juridical development among the Roman Catholics in Slovakia. The article is addressed especially to those who take interest in the issue in question and could possibly pursue the research in this field in future. A secondary goal of this study is to respond to the following query: what notion of initiation governed the administration of the sacraments in the church of the latin rite in Slovakia and what role does this notion occupy in the current understanding of the sacraments in question?
