Summary/Abstract: What is certain in modern business environment is constant changes, and the only stability is a constant movement based on a significant resource - knowledge. Nowadays markets move dynamically, technologies network, the number of competitors grows and products and services become obsolete overnight. Therefore, successful companies are only those that constantly come up with new knowledge, spreading it throughout their organizational structure and quickly converting it into business innovations that foster dynamic growth and enhance business efficiency and effectiveness. This paper presents an overview of basic theoretical concepts of the “learning organization” design as well as the findings of research on the development of knowledge and skills, the use of knowledge and experience in modern business in the global market.
