Summary/Abstract: The study deals with the preparation for the II. World War („mobilization“) taking the example of the district of Saarlouis. Two written sources are utilized, an extract of the war diary composed by the former Prussian district administrator (Landrat) as well as a report describing, after war, the school enrolment 1939 until the reconstruction after war.
