Summary/Abstract: The article shows the results of the survey carried out in Ðakovo and Osijek in 2002. The questionnaires were sent to about a hundred believers from various parishes in Osijek and Ðakovo. The questions were related to sermons, their content, truthfulness and factuality, as well as to the way they are prepared. Do preachers really interpret the word of God and thus strengthen and increase the faith of believers? Sixty-seven believers filled the questionnaire. According to their answers, 31% up to 55%, depending on different questions, are content with the quality of preaching in their parishes. Provided we add 28% - 65% of those who answered that they were partly content, we could conclude that among about two thirds of the believers who participated there is a prevailing positive feeling about preaching in their parishes.
