A Child and a Mother in the Conditions of Penitentiary Isolation

Summary/Abstract: The subject the author’s considerations is a child staying with its mother in conditions of penitentiary isolation. The author emphasizes that for the successful development of a small child it in necessary to support imprisoned mothers performing maternal functions, especially pregnant women. Referring to the theory off attachment Bowlby’ego, he shows the importance of the child – mother relationship necessary for the formation bonds and attachment patterns.
