Summary/Abstract: The contribution is devoted to the emergence and selected attributes of public administration in the first Czechoslovak Republic. The author seeks to brief historical excursion governance after the establishment of the independent Czechoslovak Republic in 1918. It refers to the first emerging institutions of the common state of Czechs and Slovaks.
