Summary/Abstract: In this paper we try to interpret neoosmanism thought Huntington’s concept of „clash of civilisations“. The main specificity of this approach is that in this sense neoosmanism projest becomes broader and bigger ambitions than it is normally attributed to the alternative models. It is claimed that neoosmanistic appearance in the Balkans implies the first step for Turkey's aspirations assuming the role of the dominant state in the "Islamic civilization". This eliminates the existing "anomalies" of Islamic civilization, which, in contrast to others, is characterized by precisely the lack of state leaders.
