The Main Categories of the Thought by Andrzej Nowicki

Summary/Abstract: In the text the author attempts to give a holistic presentation of A. Nowicki’s philosophy. The author, directed by so-called „method of central categories” formulated by A. Nowicki, presents his philosophy of meeting and dialogue, and the concept of culture. He also presents the Nowicki’s idea of creativity as a human being fulfilment in the work. The latter he defines by the term "wdziełowstąpienie”, comprehending this notion as an alternative to religious term „Ascension”. This allowed A. Nowicki to formulates an alternative to the religious, atheistic eschatology. The author of the article presents the method of central categories as the method of cultural studies in connection with formulated the concept of incontrology in texts by A. Nowicki. This concept was to be a way to research the impact and importance of the creators on culture.
