Summary/Abstract: The increasing interest in the complex communication process is explained by its growing role and importance in our everyday life. Although it is considered that communicating simply means conveying messages and information, it is not the informational content transmitted that is important, but the relationships created as a result of communication, because there are differences in the social status, the hierarchical position, the economic position or age differences between the participants within the communication process. Therefore, from a praxiological point of view, communication appears as an interactive pattern, as a result of conjugating conscious and voluntary, premeditated, controllable, evaluable and contextual behaviors, aimed at achieving a goal. The communication process does not occur as an isolated and independent entity but as part of more complex phenomena, with practical applicability (political practice, family integration, organization management, youth education). We can therefore talk about various aspects of effective communication in our everyday life: people with greater self esteem communicate better and thus they can earn better incomes; better communication skills entail happier couples and families; effective communication helps develop leadership abilities and also helps entrepreneurs to be successful; a set of good communication skills provides a critical attitude towards the media or the tools needed to develop a citizenship attitude and awareness; the modalities of communication between parents and children prompt their self-esteem and good health and, implicitly, their school performance and further on, their academic and professional performance.
