Summary/Abstract: With creation of independent Slovak state and German occupation of Bohemia and Moravia in mid March 1939 a number of emigrants from, now former, Czechoslovakia has increased. In the beginning their routes headed towards France. After German aggression against Poland in September 1939 for Czechoslovakian refugees only remaining possibility was to emigrate to Middle East via Hungary, Romania and Yugoslavia. Stay and activities of Czechoslovakian group of officers and soldiers on Yugoslav soil during 1930 has been directly involved with their emigrants because of the organization of their sending towards the Middle East. Beside helping Czecholsovakian refugees this group was in charge of developing of intelligence network in the Balkans which could be useful for Czechoslovakian armed forces in exile. Yugoslav authorities attitude towards their activities was two sided. On one hand there existed assistance of certain individuals within Yugoslav armed forces and police, while in the same time existed fear among representatives of Yugoslav authorities from German reactions caused by the presence of Czecholsovakian refugees in Yugoslavia. From summer 1940 and changes in international relations position of Czecholovakian group started to get difficult. Case of extradition of three citizens of former Czecholovakia to Germany which occurred in August 1940 proved that Yugoslavia became insecure for Czechoslovakian group. Certain number of them left Yugoslavia till the end of 1940 led by Lieutenant Colonel Frantishek Hicke but they returned just before the coup d' etat in March 1941. When WWII began on Yugoslav soil in April 1941 all activities of above mentioned group have been abolished.
