Summary/Abstract: In accordance with orders issued by the Communist Party of Yugoslavia, communists in Belgrade implemented different actions against collaborationists and occupiers since July 1941. The author tried to single out and analise methods which occupation authorities and collaborationists used in Belgrade to prevent this kind of the resistance movement activity. This article is written in accordance with archive resources, periodicals and literature. Occupiers and collaborationists, wishing to thwart implementation of armed attacks in Belgrade, acted triple: by establishing preventive measures, implementing retaliation so making propaganda. As we wrote, before the Communist Party of Yugoslavia started its struggle, the occupation regime had implemented preventive measures to protect objects and persons who were potential target so continued to implement it from July 1941. In this segment of conflict between communists and police in Belgrade, the police carried the victory having on mind that important objects and persons had stayed out of reach of Belgrade communists, but it was not a full victory, many attacks on officials and not so important objects and facilities witnessed about. The implementation of retaliation has a goal to demoralize and discourage the members of Communist Resistance Movement, so the other citizens, but the occupier used the attacks of communist illegals to calculate the strrugle with „the enemy of race“, also. Organization of citizen’s guard, amarcement against Belgrade citizens, public hangings, holding political speeches on funerals, should enduce the citizens to involve in a struggle against communists. We do not have a mechanism to measure the influence of the occupiers measures on a change of tactics, so adjournment of a struggle of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia, but there is no doubt that, beside numerous arrests and change of general „climate“ in Serbia, the measures were one of the key factors.
