Summary/Abstract: This article expounds problems related to emergence of digital software notation technologies into mass use. Notation typography trends are explored first, historically, following their appearance and evolution to a software level. Discussed are various method contradictions related to these new trends’ inception. Also highlighted is the ethical relationship between the early engraving technology and modern ones. At the end, a notion is communicated, that computer notation is a necessary subject to be taught in the music education sphere, in order to alleviate the musical mediocrity all around us. The final paragraphs relate to finding opportunities to create relationship between various music-theoretical subjects through computer notation study.
