Summary/Abstract: Following the April 1941 occupation of Yugoslavia by Germany and its allies, thousands of drafted in the Yugoslavian army ethnical Bulgarians are taken prisoners of war.The article examines the liberation of 1100 such prisoners of war, originating from Vardar Macedonia, the western Bulgarian regions, the Timok region and the Yugoslavian part of Banat, who were stationed in a German prison camp in the vicinity of the Romanian town of Timishoara.
