Summary/Abstract: The first part of this series of lectures, published in No 54 of Lettre Internationale Romanian edition, underlined the status of journalism and of the journalist fifty years ago, the deontologic rules, the changes that have taken place in this profession due to political, social, economic and communication changes. The present text – the second series of the lectures held by the author in Mexico City and Buenos Aires between 2000-2002, and the questions asked by the listeners – focuses mainly on the art of journalism as reflected in his books, and on the journalist’s condition, seen from the personal experience of one of the most prominent voices of modern journalism.
