Summary/Abstract: Today's students have evolved towards “digital natives” as the role of the media has long turned into a means of instruction and has been highly used in blended learning especially in the study of foreign languages. After having conducted a study with students from two Romanian universities, the present paper analyses in depth how and why (employed) students use a personalized approach as a means to absorb information from ESP classes while working by using a plethora of technological tools. As expected, students differentiate between the purposes of the media used as they have constructed special social media networks addressed only to education purposes as opposed to their personal lives. The employment motivation for the young category of students versus the more senior ones revealed the fact that they need to be prepared for the domestic and the European workforce market from a multidisciplinary point of view.
