The role of corpus in legal terminology

Summary/Abstract: I decided to do research on legal terminology because there is a high demand for legal translations. It is also necessary to mention the lack of resources that would allow the development of the activity. For example, there are no Romanian-Portuguese or Portuguese-Romanian legal dictionaries, and, in Romania there are no Legal Portuguese courses, which means that the translators and/or the persons who are interested will be likely to have limited knowledge in this field. My research is based on a comparative method, the corpus being constructed from three points of view. The analysis methodology was conceived taking into account a qualitative and a quantitative interpretation.
