Summary/Abstract: The article is a review of the book „Intercultural Communicative Competence for Global Citizenship. Identifying cyberpragmatic rules of engagement in telecol- laboration” (M. Orsini-Jones, F. Lee, London 2018). The aim of his review is to present to a potential reader an interesting study on telecollaboration and its potential in developing intercultural communicative com- petence as well as cyberpragmatic skills. The authors discuss their telecollaborative project in details, providing a very through literature review and describing their telecollaborative project, which may constitute an interesting proposal for any teacher who would like to organize a telecollaborative exchange in future. What makes the study particularly valuable is the new research perspective on politeness strategies applied in the asynchronous communication by the project participants. Drawing on the results on the analysis, the authors advocate for explicit teaching of cyberpragmatics skills in the context of higher education.
