Summary/Abstract: The continuity of living from the prahistory to modern times in the area of the municipality of Mrkonjić Grad (Varcar Vakuf), then changes in socio-economic structure and ethnic change over the last hundred years have a paradigm in Old Village, a place that has undergone a radical transformation since the middle of the twentieth century. Stećci recorded in the Old Village by an expert of the National Museum in Sarajevo, Kosta Herman (Hormann), disappeared in the middle of the last century when the macadam road Mrkonjić Grad-Banja Luka expanded, are part of the cultural heritage that, together with Muslim sacred and profane objects in this place is irretrievably lost
