Summary/Abstract: Certain observations on the state of protection and conservation of cultural heritage assets in Bosnia and Herzegovina have been made in this paper, especially bearing in mind the legal framework. The legal framework for the protection of cultural heritage in Bosnia and Herzegovina is fragmentary and inconsistent because the exclusive jurisdiction for regulating relations regarding the protection and use of cultural and natural assets is not within the competence of the state, but within the competence of entities or cantons.
