Summary/Abstract: Intertextual bonds of Kovacevic's works with other great works are a unique characteristic of his artistic creation. Such bonds among literary works are built on the standpoint of themes, motifs, genre and other numerous similarities. This paper deals with the analysis of Othello and Desdemona within the context of Kovacevic’s Claustrophobic comedy, i.e., the analysis of these archetypical heroes who were firstly shaped by the great Shakespeare. Thus, the paper illuminates intertextual, primarily citation and motif bonds that the Claustrophobic comedy establishes with Shakespeare’s Othello.
