Summary/Abstract: In this article, the author discusses circumstances which influenced alimentation of inhabitants of Metlika during the Second World War. Food supply and feeding habits of various social groups are explained by concrete political and military circumstances in the town. The article also informs about the way townspeople helped one another in need, and generally about human relationships which were results of a specific social and economic situation.
